John Whaley 
John was born about 1752 in , Loudon, Virginia. John's father was James Whaley and his mother was Lydia Ann Ramey. His paternal grandparents were James Whaley and Elizabeth; his maternal grandparents were Jacob Remy and Sarah. He had a brother and four sisters, named William, Elizabeth, Jane Or Keziah, Barbara and Mary. He was the second oldest of the six children. He had six half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Jacob Gibson, Benjamin, James, Henry, Elijah, Leland, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Sarah, Kate and Jemima. He died in 1810 in , Mason, Kentucky.-
