Christine was born about 1800 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee. Christine's father was Solomon Walters and her mother was Frances. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Elijah, George, Elizabeth, Margaret, Mary and Nancy Ann. She was the second oldest of the seven children.
