Anna was born about 1775 in Loudon County, Virginia.  Anna's father was Abraham Vandeventer and her mother was Mary Jones.  Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Vandeventer and Sarah Cowenhaven. She had nine brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, Peter, John, William, Jacob, Robert, John, Abraham, Charles Delham, Mary, Susan and Elizabeth.  She was the oldest of the thirteen children.  She died in 1857 in Illinois.
