John Turney 
John was born in 1834 in , Bourbon, Kentucky. John's father was William Turney and his mother was Julia. His paternal grandparents were Peter Turney and Judith Collins. He had a brother and two sisters, named Peter, Mary and Jane. He was the second oldest of the four children.
