Julia's father was John J. Tipsword and her mother was Marian Mcneely. Her paternal grandparents were Griffin Tipsword and Elizabeth Banning. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Griffin, Harley J., Eva Arvilla, Essie Armitie, Delia and Hester.-
