Serena Martin was born on May 4th, 1836 in Aberdeen, Monroe, Mississippi.  Serena Martin's father was Stephen Thompson and her mother was Eliza Gholson.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 97 on May 16th, 1933 in Austin, Travis, Texas.
