James Thomas

James was born about 1822 in , Bourbon, Kentucky.  James' father was George Thomas and his mother was Susan Strode.  His paternal grandparents were Moses Thomas and Elizabeth Whaley; his maternal grandfather was James Strode. He had three brothers and a sister, named William Henry, Alfred B., George W. and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died in , Saline, Missouri.
