Mahala Sullivan

Mahala was born in 1840 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.  Mahala's father was William Sullivan and her mother was Sandle Mitchell.  Her paternal grandfather was Ezekiel Sullivan. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Alfred, George, Jefferson, Jane, Elizabeth, Martha and Sarah.  She was the oldest of the eight children.
