William Stroup 
William was born in 1859 in Of, Wythe, Virginia. William's father was Jacob Jackson Stroup and his mother was Elizabeth Myers. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Jackson Stroup and Mary Or Polly; his maternal grandfather was Adam Myers. He had a brother named John Jacob. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 70 in 1929.-
