Joseph Simms 
Joseph was born in November 1733 in Charles County, Maryland. Joseph's father was Electius Simms and his mother was Virlinda Green. His paternal grandparents were Anthony Semmes and Ann Sissons. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Edward, Ignatius, Anthony, Winifred, Sarah, Mary and Virlinda. He was the oldest of the eight children.-
