William Shaw 
William was born on February 6th, 1814 in , Lancastershire, England. William's father was John Shaw and his mother was Hannah Cox. His paternal grandparents were James Shaw and Lofton. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, John J., Benjamin, James, Elizabeth, Julia, Louisa and Mary.
