Harvey Shanks 
Harvey was born in 1853 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Harvey's father was Henry Shanks and his mother was Jane. His paternal grandparents were Christian Shanks and Margaret Pearson. He had two brothers and a sister, named Jack, Gaines and Nancy. He was the oldest of the four children.
