William Rawls 
William was born about 1760 in Halifax, NC. William's father was Philip Rawls and his mother was Haynie. His paternal grandparents were William Rawls and Dinah Yeates. He had three brothers and a sister, named Abraham, Micajah, Randolph L. and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the five children.
