William Ewuen Powell

William Ewuen was born in November 1882 in , Effingham, Illinois.  William Ewuen's father was William Ewuen Powell and his mother was Ellen.  His paternal grandparents were Seymour R. Powell and Angeline. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Theodore, Emerson, Cleveland, George B., Curtlan and Lola.  He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had three half-sisters named Mary Jane, Sarah Ann and Ora Belle.
