William Fletcher Phipps 
William Fletcher was born on October 7th, 1843 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. William Fletcher's father was William Pitt Phipps and his mother was Catherine Ann Hale. His paternal grandparents were William Phipps and Sarah Erwin; his maternal grandparents were Philip Smith Hale and Elizabeth Bachman. He had two sisters named Katherine and Matilda. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 73 on October 16th, 1916.-
