Richard Peoples 
Richard was born in 1816 in Sullivan County, Tennessee. Richard's father was John Peoples and his mother was Lucretia Murrell. His paternal grandparents were Nathan Peoples and Margaret Kelsay; his maternal grandparents were Richard Murrell and Mary Ann Mabry. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named John, Nathan, Samuel, Andrew Jackson, Nancy Jane, Ann, Margaret, Mary, Elizabeth, Lucretia, Sarah and Frances. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children.-
