James McDaniel 
James was born about 1740 in , , NC. James' father was James McDaniel and his mother was Margaret Bryant. His paternal grandparents were Daniel McDaniel and Sarah Brown; his maternal grandparents were William Bryant and Patience Dew. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Risdon and Levinah. He was the oldest of the four children. He died in 1809.-
