Martha Ellen was born on July 17th, 1859 in Beech Creek, Hawkins, Tennessee. Martha Ellen's father was Clinton A. Luster and her mother was Sarah Jane Dyer. Her maternal grandparents were John Robert Dyer and Barsheba Thorp. She had a brother and three sisters, named Riley F., Margaret J., Mary and Highlander Or Hiley C.. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 63 on December 31st, 1922 in Sanford, Conejos, California.-
