Her paternal grandparents were Johan David Lauterbach and Maria Elizabetha Klein. She had a brother and two sisters, named Henry, Barbara and Susanna. She had two half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Isaac, John, July Elizabeth, Polly (Mary), Keziah and Jessie (Agnes). She died at the age of 81 in 1856 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.-
