Lucinda was born in 1845 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee. Lucinda's father was Stacy Light and her mother was Rhoda Morrison. Her paternal grandfather was John Light. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Bayless, Samuel, Wright, Anderson, Tempe, Nellie, Eliza and Aggie. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Stacy, Sarah and Julia.-
