William Henry Fitz Hugh was born in 1837. William Henry Fitz Hugh's father was Robert Edward Lee General and his mother was Mary Ann Randolph Custis. His maternal grandparents were George Washington Parke Custis and Mary Lee Fitz Hugh. He had two brothers and four sisters, named George Washington Custis, Robert Edward, Mary Custis, Ann Carter, Eleanor Agnes and Mildred Childe.
