Phebe Klepper

Phebe was born in 1845 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.  Phebe's father was Peter Klepper and her mother was Mary Pilant.  Her maternal grandfather was Joseph Pilant. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, Cornelius Or Nealy, Francis Marion, Susan, Sarah, Martha Ellen and Barbara.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She had three half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Barnabus M., William, John M., Mary Or Polly, Nancy, Elizabeth, Jane, Katherine, Lourana, Susannah and Margaret.
