James Klepper 
James was born in 1845 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. James' father was Barnabus M. Klepper and his mother was Nancy. His paternal grandparents were Peter Klepper and Catherine Myers. He had two brothers and a sister, named George, Robert and Mary Jane. He was the second oldest of the four children.
