Gaines Klepper 
Gaines was born in 1848 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Gaines' father was John Klepper and his mother was Eliza Jane Henard. His paternal grandmother was Katherine; his maternal grandparents were Elijah Henard and Sarah Myers. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Napoleon, George, John, Columbus, Orlena, Sarah and Cornelia. He was the second oldest of the eight children.-
