Rufas Jones 
Rufas was born in 1857 in Hawkins Co., TN. Rufas' father was John Jones and his mother was Jerusha Surgener. His paternal grandparents were Elijah Jones and Nancy Harmon. He had a brother and a sister, named Lafayette and Cornelia. He was the second oldest of the three children.
