Marena Tennessee was born on November 2nd, 1854 in Tarpine Valley, Hawkins, Tennessee. Marena Tennessee's father was Bayless Or Bales Jeffers and her mother was Happy Caroline Tate. Her maternal grandparents were David Tate and Nancy Caroline Kelly. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Elkanah Mcmullen, Calvin J., Enoch R., Patrick C., John C., Delilah and Nancy C.. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 56 on March 5th, 1911 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.-
