Ann was born in September 1759 in , , North Carolina. Ann's father was William Robert Hinton and her mother was Mary Patton. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Hinton and Rachel Howard. She had a sister named Sarah. She was the younger of the two children. She died at the age of 82 on August 23rd, 1842 in , , Tennessee.-
