John Hedges 
John was born in 1771 in , Frederick, Maryland. John's father was Joseph Hedges and his mother was Sarah Biggs. His paternal grandparents were Charles Hedges and Mary Stille. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Charles, James, Jonas, Samuel, Rebecca and Jemima. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 79 in 1850.-
