John Heck 
John was born in 1847 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. John's father was Jesse Heck and his mother was Mary. His paternal grandparents were Jacob Heck and Barbara Kilmer. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Silas, Nathaniel, Matilda, Eliza, Margaret and Mary. He was the oldest of the seven children.
