Caroline Greathouse 
Caroline was born in 1854 in , Wayne, Illinois. Caroline's father was William Greathouse and her mother was Elizabeth Newby. Her paternal grandparents were Hiram Greathouse and Lydia Ann; her maternal grandparents were John Newby and Rebecca Simpson. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Elijah, Hiram, Bryant, Daniel, Lucy J., Rebecca, Lydia Ann and Lucena. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.-
