Josephine Gilliam 
Josephine was born in 1857 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Josephine's father was James Gilliam and her mother was Elizabeth. Her paternal grandparents were John Gilliam and Mary. She had four brothers and four sisters, named William Henry, John, Wiley, Hiram, Gilliam, Mary Ann, Sarah and Nancy Jane. She was the third youngest of the nine children.
