Aaron was born in 1742 in , , Of N. C.. Aaron's father was Isaac Garrison and his mother was Elizabeth Lawrence. His paternal grandparents were Isaac Garrison and Jeanne Raganar. He had five brothers named Isaac, James, Joseph, Samuel and Moses. He was the youngest of the six children.
