James Gardner

James was born in 1841 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.  James' father was James Gardner and his mother was Anna Myers.  His paternal grandparents were John Gardner and Sophia; his maternal grandfather was Henry Myers. He had six brothers and four sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named John Alfred, Henry, Jarvis Wiley, William G., Jacob Tillman, Newton Gilbert, Sarah Jane, Nancy E., Rebecca, Hattie Miranda and Gardner.  He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.  He died before 1850.
