Ann was born in 1796 in , Of Hawkins, Tennessee. Ann's father was James Forgey and her mother was Margaret F. Caldwell. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew Forgey and Margaret. She had a brother and six sisters, named James Reynolds, Margaret, Mary Or Polly, Ellen, Matilda, Elizabeth and Rachel. She was the second oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 37 in 1833 in , Hawkins, Tennessee.-
