John Ford 
John was born in 1835 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. John's father was Isaac B. Ford and his mother was Elizabeth Gross. His maternal grandparents were William Gross and Nancy. He had a brother and three sisters, named Samuel Houston, Mary A., Martha Ellen and Sarah Matilda. He was the second oldest of the five children.
