Matthew was born on April 25th, 1695 in Wrentham, Norfolk, Massachusetts. Matthew's father was Benjamin Force and his mother was Elizabeth Bunn. His paternal grandparents were Matthew Force and Elizabeth Palmer; his maternal grandparents were Matthew Bunn and Ester Miles. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Benjamin, Thomas, Freeman, Henry, Mary, Charity and Hannah. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.-
