Peter was born in 1804 in Of Sullivan County, Tennessee.  Peter's father was Adam Fleenor and his mother was Mary Hunsicker.  His paternal grandparents were Gasper Fleenor and Margaretha Andtes; his maternal grandparents were Abraham Hunsicker and Elizabeth. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Abraham, Isaac B., Sampson, Elisha, Gasper, David, Jacob and Elizabeth.  He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 77 in 1881.
