John Exum 
John was born on July 4th, 1784 in , Southampton, VA. John's father was Arthur Exum and his mother was Elizabeth. His paternal grandparents were William Exum and Patience Purcell. He had four sisters named Sarah, Martha, Mary and Rebecca. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Joseph, William and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 73 on June 26th, 1858 in , Madison, TN.-
