Lydia was born on June 12th, 1631 in Nazeing, Essex, England. Lydia's father was Philip Eliot and her mother was Elizabeth Sybthorpe. Her paternal grandparents were Benet Eliot and Lettice Agar; her maternal grandparents were Robert Sybthorpe and Anne. She had a brother and two sisters, named Philip, Elizabeth and Sarah. She was the second youngest of the four children.-
