John Dykes 
John was born in 1866 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. John's father was Joseph Dykes and his mother was Lydia. His paternal grandparents were William Dykes and Annis. He had four brothers and a sister, named William, Abraham, F. M., Elbert and Emma. He was the third youngest of the six children.
