John Dykes

John was born in 1828 in Of, Hawkins, Tennessee.  John's father was William Dykes and his mother was Annis. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Joseph, Thomas, Abram, Jesse R., Anna, Sarah, Melinda, Mary and Jane.  He was the oldest of the ten children.
