John was born in 1268.  John's father was Roger De Moels and his mother was Alice Preux.  His paternal grandparents were Nicholas De Moels Lord Cadbury & Saperton, Somerset and Hawyse Newmarche; his maternal grandfather was William Preux Lord Of Orton.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 41 in 1309.
