William Alexander Daniel 
William Alexander was born on February 9th, 1827 in , , NC. William Alexander's father was Joseph John Daniel and his mother was Margaret Maria Bassett Stith. His maternal grandparents were Bassett Stith and Mary Long. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Joseph John, John Lewis, Maria Josephine, Mary Long and Lavinia Bassett. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 66 on April 9th, 1893.-
