Peter M. was born in 1833 in Of, Sullivan, Tennessee. Peter M.'s father was Jacob Clayman and his mother was Mary. His paternal grandparents were Jonathan Clayman and Catherine Grubb. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Jacob Leander, Jonathan R., George James Adam, Nancy L., Eliza, Mariah, Permelia Matilda, Sarah C. and Susannah. He died at the age of 68 in 1901.-
