James B. Charles 
James B. was born on January 21st, 1854 in Polk Co., TN. James B.'s father was James Madison Charles and his mother was Eliza Dodson. His paternal grandparents were Oliver Charles and Jane Bridwell; his maternal grandparents were Elisha Dodson and Mary. He had two brothers named Oliver and John E.. He was the youngest of the three children. He had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Joseph E., William Boyd, James Frank, Thomas Nixon, Margaret Jane, Lea Ann, Emma Jo, Minnie L. and Caroline. He died at the age of 17 on June 22nd, 1871 in McMinn CO., TN.-
