William Cato 
William was born about 1839 in , Jefferson, Mississippi. William's father was Lewis Cato and his mother was Mary Ann Galbreath. His paternal grandparents were Burwell Cato and Cato. He had four brothers and three sisters, named John A., James F., Allen B., George A., Frances C., Mary A. and Melissa. He was the third oldest of the eight children.-
