David Paxton Boyd

David Paxton was born in 1843 in Sullivan County, Tennessee.  David Paxton's father was James A. Boyd and his mother was Elizabeth Paxton.  His paternal grandparents were William Boyd and Elizabeth Douglas. He had two brothers and six sisters, named John Wilder, Elbert S., Rachel, Margaret, Virginia A., Sarah Jane, Nancy Ann and Elizabeth.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.
