Matilda Beal 
Matilda was born in 1847 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Matilda's father was George W. Beal and her mother was Margaret Boger. Her paternal grandparents were John Beal and Mary Elizabeth Bertram. She had four brothers and four sisters, named John W., Samuel N., Edward, Hugh, Elizabeth, Mary, Ida and Elmira C.. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.-
