Absalom Banes 
Absalom was born in 1866 in , Hawkins, Tennessee. Absalom's father was James Madison Banes and his mother was Sarah F.. His paternal grandparents were Banes and Rebecca. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, James Madison, Robert L., Cornelia, Rebecca, Ardella and Mary Ann. He was the youngest of the eight children.
