George Ball 
George was born about 1753 in Fairfax County, Virginia. George's father was Moses Ball and his mother was Nancy Ann Brashears. His paternal grandparents were John Ball and Winifred Williams; his maternal grandparents were Robert Brashears and Charity Dowell. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, Moses, Robert, Basil, James, Ann and Sibilla. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.
